At age 6, my daughter was a shy girl who first began to find her voice at Acting Out in Brooklyn. Under the care and guidance of Ms. Roberta and Sarah Good, my daughter broke free of a shell she'd been trapped in for years. The experience at Acting Out literally changed the course of her life. A student for years before we moved to NJ, my daughter insisted we travel to Brooklyn twice per week from Westfield in order for her to continue to attend workshops and classes at Acting Out. She had never had anything that meant this much to her, never had a teacher like Ms. Roberta and Ms Sarah, who cared as deeply about her growth, and so we did. When I found out that Acting Out was opening a second location in New Jersey, I feel like I was just reunited with family. If you are looking to step out of your comfort zone or prep for the Broadway stage, the marvelous staff at Acting Out has got you covered. We are thrilled to have Acting Out in Westfield and we look forward to sharing the spotlight again!
Here with us all throughout the year teaching classes, workshops, private coaching, and preparing students for auditions both professional and academic.
My son has been going to the studio since 2019, and we really appreciate the devoted and professional teachers, the creative and friendly atmosphere and well organized environment for children of all ages.We cherish warm and sweet memories of Acting Out and also enjoy the results of audition prep - my son got 96 out of 100 on his monologs for Mark Twain school (drama talent). Thanks a lot, Roberta and John, for having us in such a wonderful place where the talents have an opportunity to develop and grow.
Nick is a wonderful voice teacher. He really helps build my daughter's confidence and she loves working with him. Roberta is truly passionate about what she does and serves not only as a great teacher but a true mentor to so many kids. They always go above and beyond to make themselves available especially during audition season!
