Please Note: Acting Out will be offering both in-person and virtual class options in the month of August. We will be continuing with virtual only classes through the end of July. We will be adhering to strict state and local guidelines for health and safety during classes. This includes, social distancing of teachers and students, wearing of masks, and a complete cleaning and sanitization of all contact surfaces between classes. Virtual Classes

July 20 - July 24

Rockstars & Divas

Calling all powerhouse performers! If you are a rockstar in the making, then this camp is for you! Campers will learn the skills necessary to break the mold and become the Divas and Rockstars they were born to be! Campers will work together with their “bandmates” to create a show with their own rock personas that they will star in at the end of the week!

Time: 9:00 am – 10:00 am
Age Range: 5-6

Rockin’ On Broadway

Calling all powerhouse performers! If you are a rockstar in the making, then this camp is for you! SNL – Skits & Sketches

Ever thought that you might be better at making fun of movies than you would be acting in them? Are you incredibly good at doing other people’s voices? Is it your dream to write your own comedies? In this fun and fast-paced camp, students will learn skit writing and improv skills, just like the pros on Saturday Night Live!

Time: 11:30 am – 12:30 am
Age Range: 9-15

Broadway Workshop – Hamilton

July 21 & 22

The gorgeously talented Darilyn Castillo from the hit Broadway musical HAMILTON joins us for a two day workshop! In this two day camp, students will be able to explore the world of one of the best musicals of modern day and have an opportunity to learn and act one of the songs from the show and be taught from an insiders perspective. You don’t want to miss this, so don’t throw away your shot!

Show & Tell

Has your little one always wanted their favorite stuffed animal, truck or doll to be part of a play? Well, now is your chance with this super fun one week camp! Campers will get to choose a favorite object and we will create a play based around everyone’s objects. At the end of the week, we will present our play for parents to watch. Imagine the possibilities! 

Time: 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Age Range: 5-6

Demonstration Station

Finding Your Voice: Voiceover

In this week long workshop, students will learn the fundamentals of voiceover work! Students will record a combination of advertisements, cartoon and video game voice work. At the end of the week long session, students will have a short reel to use for auditions. This camp is great for the aspiring voiceover artist!

Fairy Tale Class

Princesses! Superheroes! Pirates! In this camp students ages K-1 will use story-telling, costume creation, and basic acting to focus on bringing their favorite fairy tales to life. Class will culminate in a sweet performance of skills learned for family and friends.

Intro to Acting Class

This is a great starter class for students who are looking to get their acting legs. Using acting games, improvisation and basic movement and vocal exercises students will gain an understanding for what the world of acting is all about. A great class to help kids feel comfortable working in an ensemble while finding their own voice.

*If you’re looking at having your child audition for a Performing Arts Junior High School (Mark Twain, Bay Academy, P.P.A.S., etc) we highly suggest taking this class over the summer to get a head start.

Film and T.V.

Students will gain confidence in front of the camera, know what to expect in the audition room and how to prepare for TV/Film and Commercial auditions. This class will cover everything from the basics of slating to making bold, complex choices on-camera.

Age Range: 9 and up

Calling All Characters

Always wanted to play your favorite cartoon, movie or story character? Well then this is the camp for you! In this camp students ages 7-8 will use aspects of story-telling, personality building and basic acting to focus on bringing their favorite characters to life. Class will culminate in a short performance of skills learned for family and friends.

Intro to Musical Theater

Young children will learn the beginning aspects of a musical theatre performance (including song, choreography and character) through creative song and dance techniques. Class will culminate in a short performance of skills learned for family and friends.
