Gypsy at The Gallery Players opened Saturday, September 17th and we were right there in the audience cheering on our students! Gi60 #NextGen invited playwrights from all over the world to submit one-minute plays for our annual festival. Derek Herman (Acting Instructor) Derek Herman is a graduate from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University where he received his BFA in Acting. He is NEW to New York, and is so thrilled to be working at Acting Out! Since moving to New York, Derek has been seen in Sleepy Hollow, the musical, Spice Rack, and Trolious & Cressida, and is signed with Bella Agency as a Commercial/Print Model. As a Teaching Artist, Derek has taught and directed for the National High School Institute Cherub’s Program
