Working at Acting Out

Acting Out’s teacher roster is comprised of professional teaching artists who continue to work in their respective fields, sometimes booking gigs that may take them away from the classroom for some time. Therefore, we are always open to expanding our teaching community with the right candidates who embody the following criteria:

Experience

Candidate must have background and experience in their craft, both professional and educational

Worked With Children

>>

Experience working with children (note: our students range in age from 5 to 17 years old)

Reliable Transport

>>

Ability to travel punctually to our 2 locations in Dyker Heights and/or Mill Basin, Brooklyn

Charisma

Possess the charisma to make classes both educational and fun

Dedication

Be dedicated to and passionate about teaching youth the craft of theatre, singing, and/or music

Piano

For vocal training candidates: the ability to play piano is a huge plus

My son has been going to the studio since 2019, and we really appreciate the devoted and professional teachers, the creative and friendly atmosphere and well organized environment for children of all ages.We cherish warm and sweet memories of Acting Out and also enjoy the results of audition prep - my son got 96 out of 100 on his monologs for Mark Twain school (drama talent).Thanks a lot, Roberta and John, for having us in such a wonderful place where the talents have an opportunity to develop and grow.

Nick is a wonderful voice teacher. He really helps build my daughter's confidence and she loves working with him. Roberta is truly passionate about what she does and serves not only as a great teacher but a true mentor to so many kids. They always go above and beyond to make themselves available especially during audition season!
